We are currently supporting a well-established company that is further expanding its advanced analytics and machine learning capabilities.

In this role, you will work on complex analytical problems with direct business relevance. You will not only develop models, but also help define the right questions, challenge assumptions and translate data-driven insights into practical decisions.

This position is a strong fit for someone who enjoys combining technical depth with business understanding and wants to take ownership beyond pure model development.

Your responsibilities

• Develop and apply machine learning and statistical models for business-relevant use cases
• Work with complex datasets to identify patterns, risks and opportunities
• Translate broad business questions into clear analytical approaches
• Take ownership of projects from initial problem framing through to implementation and evaluation
• Collaborate with stakeholders across technical and business functions
• Apply a pragmatic mix of data analysis, statistics and machine learning depending on the problem
• Communicate results clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Contribute to improving how data is used for decision-making within the organization

Your profile

• Several years of professional experience in Data Science, Machine Learning or a comparable analytical role
• Strong knowledge of classical machine learning methods and statistical modeling
• Good understanding of data analysis, model evaluation and applied statistics
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with common data science libraries
• Experience working on open-ended problems with incomplete or changing requirements
• Ability to take ownership of projects beyond isolated modeling tasks
• Confident handling of data, ideally including SQL
• Strong business understanding and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving
• Very good communication skills in English
• Structured, proactive and solution-oriented working style
• Based in the Munich area or open to relocating

• Experience in data-intensive business environments
• Experience applying machine learning or statistical methods to real-world business problems
• Exposure to cloud environments, data pipelines or machine learning tooling
• Experience working closely with analytics, engineering or business stakeholders
